Zurich is 408 m high and is the capital of the canton of Zurich and the largest city in Switzerland. The highest point of the city at 870 m is the Uetliberg. Zurich is a lively, tolerant, cosmopolitan and multicultural city. It is divided into 12 city districts. Around 420,000 inhabitants live in the actual urban area. However, if you add the agglomeration, there are over a million people from 175 countries.
There is a lot of entertainment in Zurich. The basically quiet, relaxing city has a wide range of theaters, over 50 museums, countless galleries, cinemas, concerts, exhibitions, clubs and restaurants and beautiful places to chill and enjoy yourselves. Due to its central location, Zurich is an excellent place from where you can discover the rest of Switzerland, as well as nearby Europe. Numerous national and international companies are based here and therefore offer most of the jobs in Switzerland.
